Ode to My Dogs

Last night I was having trouble sleeping and the dogs kept hearing me stir, which is, of course, an open invitation to come up on the bed. This is an unwritten rule that they have put into place and no amount of arguing will change their minds. "You awake? Okay, we keep you company."

So I started writing limericks about them.

Mack on the left, Bobby on the right

Here's Bobby's:

There once was a dog named Bobby

Who made licker his full time hobby

He licked hands, faces, and his own private places

Now the world's a bit cleaner and so is his wiener

Thanks to Bobby's full time hobby.

Here's Mack's:

There once was a dog named Mack

Who always attacked from the back

The rear-end assault was never his fault

A hump in his mind was always best from behind

And the greatest impact is made from the back

All this according to Mack
